An American LaFrance thread would not be complete without one of these gems ...

1957 ALF 810-PNC

Reg. No. N-267

This apparatus was purchased by the B. A. (British American) Oil Company for protection at their Clarkson refinery. Clarkson was a small village that was annexed by Mississauga in 1974. Mississauga Fire acquired this pumper as a Foam rig to supplement the fire protection at two different refineries located within the city.

When retired, this rig was sold to a collector.



This apparatus was featured in the ALF booklet "First Water" - "The History of American LaFrance Builder of Fire Engines since 1832"

ALF Eagle cab and chassis ... information provided by the rep indicated this was fourth Eagle cab and chassis produced. Unknown where this unit went into service.
