Over the last two days we have been holding the annual egg drops for our two elementary schools. This wraps up our Fire and Injury prevention program that I teach to our fifth graders each month during the school year. The students each ride up in the Tower Ladder and drop their item that holds the egg. Since our 2004 Tower Ladder is in Florida at E\-One for the second rebuild we had to borrow CFD2's Sutphen Tower Ladder.

Our 2004 Truck has been returned from E\-One and the loaner yellow 2007 Quest Demo Engine had been returned. Our Truck now carries Wilmette, IL Tower Ladder on the original Merriam, KS cab-chassis-body. Our original 2004 ladder was found to be defective after six years of research and repairs. E\-One has assigned two ID numbers to our rig. One is the original 2004 job number the other is the 2008 ladder job number.

Liberty uses the Seagrave wing as their door logo. This first appeared on Liberty's 1953ish 70th Anniversary Seagrave 85ft Mid-Mount Ladder and have remained on each unit since including the ambulances. The unit shop number is placed in the center.

KCFD Kansas City, Missouri Fire Department

KCFD has started a Ready Reserve Pumper program. As it was told to me they are Ready to be a Reserve. The only difference is the Ready Reserve Pumper have NO equipment the Reserve Pumpers only carry hose all other tools and appliance's must be moved from the out of service pumper. Basically if all five Reserve Pumpers are in service or for a Homeland-Natural Disaster these can be equipped at the Fire Academy and used.
