The only problems I am aware of pertaining to the OES Engine's are on the financial side with the state facing an enourmous defecit several Fire Cbief's have kept there OES apparatus out of service upon returning from strike team assignments until the department is reimbursed for personnel OT.

With the state in the budget crunch they're in now it most likely will be a low a bid for the new OES Engines, The old Ford C Series engine's that both Monrovia and Arcadia once operarted I;ve heard are still in service.

That was a great rig. Unfortunately it was destroyed in a rollover.

I must say the Chino's new tender is even more impressive than their old one. FYI, the old one was rolled/wrecked hence the replacement.

Actually the new one is red. The first photo posted of the water tender is after the refurb it received. The photos you have posted of the Chino Valley water tender in this thread are all of the same rig. That thing was a beast.

So was it originally with the diamond plate body work or was that after the refurb? And I assume the refurb was pre-replacement?

Thanks in advance.

Cool pics!

Question x 2

what are the toggle switches below each discharge gate?

what is that pipe that runs below the steamer connection? It seams to be another intake?

[/quote]

The switches below the discharge gate are indeed for the CAFS system the rig has a 1750 GPM capacity.
