Heard tonight that Winchester just got a new 4x4 4 door International/? Likely finally putting this rig out of the super uber reserve status it held and finally letting the old retire.

Norfolk's new Polaris Ranger ATV - still some debate over what the unit designation will be, but ATV 1, Brush 70, among others were tossed around. The unit cost about $9500 and when the trailer to haul it is added in the cost was about $12,000.

Yes, it was involved with the fatal crash with Truck Co. 1's old Seagrave. The ALF was being utilized as a spare rig I beleive at Engine 8 at the time, I cannot remember though.

Julio, actually I stand corrected. Ex-Engine 10 was the ALF pumper involved in the wreck, not ex-Engine 11. The only one left in the line up that I am aware of is Ex-Engine 2 which is still used as a reserve pumper. But to make sure I will check my information to find out which info is correct.

Hey guys just an update. Engine #11 still uses the ALF. I live in Waterbury & still see it respond. They have the new Truck #1 running out of station #11 with the engine while headquaters is being worked on. They still have the old Engine # 2 as a spare. Engine # 10 is running out of station # 4.

One more update on the ALF ex ladder #1 . I see it down at the shops along with the old ladder # 2 & 3. I heard the ladder has something wrong with it. I saw Truck # 1 running with the ex Truck #3 (E\-One ) last week. The new Truck # 1 went right back into service the same afternoon. They also have the old Engine # 4&6 (E-Ones) down at the shops. The rigs are parked outside.

Just some more updates. In todays Waterbury paper as of July 1 Engine # 10 will no longer be. The paper says they had to cut a engine company so Engine #10 will go. Their rig will go to Engine # 5 because of repairs that Engine # 5 needs. The deputy chief & Truck #1 will move back into HQ when the work is done to HQ & Resuce # 9 will move in also. The papers says the cut is part of the departements side of a contratual deal. The department also goes from 3 shifts to 4 & from a 50 to 42 hour workweek.
