My immediate first thought on this rig was that it looks like the Charlie Brown Christmas Tree of Fire Engines. Poor thing.

There is nothing quite like wheeling an Aerialscope in my opinion. I've driven multiple aerials in my career thus far and by far the Scope is the best! Just wish ours was on a Seagrave chassis.

Sorry I'm not familiar, what chassis is yours on?

PG will be fun to keep track of now. Lol. I'm sure there will be hand me downs happening since Truck 832 isn't super old, and if engines 830 or 846 get new rigs they will replace 08 units.

I'm thinking 846 might end up at 47 since they're running that HME. I'm thinking the 01 Seagraves will fill in the reserve fleet and give PG a few decent reserves.

Anyone know what happened to E384 01 Seagrave that burned. Last I saw it, it was at ITE and that was 2-3 years ago.

Guess we will see. Engine 821 is still running a 1989 Seagrave, or at times a 1989 E\-One. Engine 272 is also running a 1989 Seagrave, although it is technically part of the Reserve fleet.

Updated photos on Atlantics sites. Still no confirmed numbers for the engines visible. One thing I did notice is that these are a darker red, and with the yellow chevrons are actually in the Washington Redskins scheme, or at least I think so. lol

I don't know if it was posted, but what are the specs on those new pumpers, specifically the amount of gallons?

With a hosebed that low and a wheelbase that short, im curious to know. I like the practicality of them.

I'm pretty sure they are 750 gal tanks. PG usually specs 500 gal. tanks but these units weren't spec'd for us. They were spec'd for the "re-sale value" but I guess that's what ya get when you hire some idiot chief from VA.

I heard through the grapevine that Bladensburg might be looking to replace the truck. Anyone else heard this?

Let the reassignments begin:

New Engines going to 830, 841, 842, 844, and 846. Opening up (2) 2008 Seagraves for reassignment, and (3) 2001 Seagraves if needed.

Pat,

Did the county move the 2001 Seagrave, E384 from Chapel Oaks to station 41? I thought 841 was still running the white & black 1995 Seagrave ex Riverdale.
Reply
Your correct Jeff. They are still running the X- Riverdale rig. The old Engine 384 is still MIA. Last I saw of it, it was at Interstate burnt up.
