Rick, the stations are set up w/ the single bay being the "resuce" (ambulance) and the fire co's are in the double bays. I did not shoot station 1 as its an afternoon shot w/ the sun and I was there in the morning.

As for the numbers, LV had 1-10 at one time and use Engine 10 as a 2nd engine at 1. Then Station 10 opened up in LV so they went to a 200 series for a 2nd piece such as Eng. 201 as 2nd engine out of station 1. Engine 203 2nd at station 3 etc. Station 1 even uses Resuce 301. Clark County(11-18, and 60's and 80's), North Las Vegas (50's) and Henderson (90's) all pick up w/ the number series. I think you can see a station list on the Clark County Fire website.

I may have some errors in my reporting here, but i'm close.

So do they have separate sleeping quarters? If so is this done so the EMS calls all night long won't 'wake up' the entire station?

Yes, the medics have their own room w/ its own speakers so the engine co. is not disturbed if they are not due.

Most Clark County stations are open for visitors i think the only issue with stopping in to see this one is how busy they are. Being as they are right on the strip basically they like station 11 run pretty much all the time. The station is easy to reach just walk up harmon off the strip and it is on your right. The next time i see the engine at my complex i will ask on of the guys about visitors.

Station 18 is in with head quarters on Flamingo just East of Paradise, sorry I drew a complete blank when I was typing that. As a Side note I saw Engine 18 and Truck 18 at the training center the other days. I have not been back that way since but will post the pictures i have of it.

Here are my shots of Station 32, here is the landscape. It is interesting how the monrail station is located above the station.
