That is the Ferrara, I can tell by the grill, and the 'FFA' logo behind the officer's door. Very nice photos!!

Speaking of Rescue 1, I was looking at the picture on the cover of the latest issue of FAJ and it appears all of the exterior compartments on the body have a latch for a padlock. I guess this doesn't surprise me a whole lot, but would they actually put padlocks on there, seems like it would waste valuable time at a fire scene. If someone could clue me in on these I would appreciate it.

Thanks,

No we do not put padlocks on the rigs all the rigs have the latches, some companies use a carabiner on a chain as a back-up to keep the compartments closed. I think it's just a standard device the manufacturer puts on the rigs.

I've found a lot of very good pics of the new R1 and a few other trucks by "Skipton" here at Webshots:

Not pad locks... I know Rescue 3 and 2 use to keep keys on ALL members coats for the compartment "slam latches". TOO MUCH MONEY TO LEAVE UNLOCKED! Also lot of inviting tools for "B&E" use.
