I just sent James Island a email to see if they know what has happened to the truck. I will post what I find out once I hear back from them.

I am interested in all of the equipment and apparatus used in fire fighting and ems service.

As one can see this was an open cab rig at one time. That is a after market top.
As rawhitejr has posted, it was a convertible hard top installed after a fatal roll over accident. From time to time the would take the roof off.

Does anyone know if a "Glider" Kit used in the repair from the 1st accident?

Does anyone know if a "Glider" Kit used in the repair from the 1st accident?
One F/F LODD in the original roll over accident. As far as I remember, the rig was rebuilt without a glider kit.
Was E-132 involved in the accident with Earleigh Heights wagon?
