Yep same old engine as before, no changes to make it better! Actually they did change to meet the new emissions standards, essentialy the reason for the restyling. The old chassis did not allow the new emmisions package engine to fit. Don't really look for any change until the 2010 emissions roll around, then Ford might change to something all togetehr new.

This is my latest delivery, Otsego County EMS in Gaylord, MI. They are located about an hour south of the Mackinaw bridge in the northern lower peninsula.
The department has approximately 10 ambulances, and one Heavy Rescue unit. They do almost all of the county's extraction & rescue duties.
This unit is a 2007 Chevy C-4500, with Kalderman Air Ride suspension, aluminum interior cabinets, EQ2B Siren, and Dual Buell Air Horns.
Some of you may recall seeing this unit pictured in Tacsupport1's My First Trip to Phoenix post in early September. You can see the unit at the below link. The unit was a demo that was out at the Phoenix Fire Department being tested for new specs.
This truck has full 3M Diamond GRade Chevrons on both sides of the unit. In these two PICS you can see the "Glare" given off during daylight conditions, and the Glare when hit by light at night.

Just two more of the rear Chevrons, one I used paper and quickly simulated what a Dimaond Grade/Non-Diamond Grade patttern would look like. The second one shows what the Diamond Grade looks like when hit by headlight (Low beam) only form approximately 100 yards away. I think it clearly stands out!
