What did this replace in the SFD fleet? I have visited your station several times since 1993, most recently in 2007.

This Truck replaced the 1996 Pierce Quantam pumper.The 96 Quantam was sold to Confluence. Engine 8 a 1978 ALF was retired and sold to one of our members. Truck 8 will be our first out unit on structure calls. This truck did not replace the 1993 tower. Hope this helps. By the way the new truck is at the dealer, it was to be delivered last week but wasn't because of all the snow.

Didn't Las Cruces used to run ALFs? I was in Las Cruces several years ago flying T-34's for the Navy. Good flying there.

Las Cruces has four American LaFrance pumpers and two American LaFrance tower ladders. Due to the financial trouble at LaFrance, they cancelled an order for two pumpers and awarded it ti Pierce instead. Thus, their two new Pierce Impel pumpers were just placed in-service. 1500gpm. E5 has a 1,000 gallon tank while E6 has a 500 gallon tank.
