Ex-Verplanck, Ny Ron Bogardus photo Quote:Dunkirk, NY had this interesting (imo) Chevrolet rescue. Wish I had the info on it! 1956 Chevy/Gerstenslager Ran as Rescue 1 until 1970. Rescue 1 was quartered with Engine 2 and Ladder 1 on Eagle Street. Engine 2 was a 1953 Ward LaFrance. Ladder 1 was a 1946 Seagrave until the 1968 ALF arrived. I lived 4 blocks west and 4 1/2 blocks south.

Ron Bogardus photo[/quote] A twin to the rig above, this truck is set up as a rescue pumper, while the 412/772 is set up as their first due pumper on structures. Outside in bright sunlight these two trucks are sharp looking. When I first saw them, they had no striping or lettering, to say the least they were plain looking. I just shot one of the two trucks ( I forgot which ). tim/csff25
