Quote:Interesting to see Glendale used the wagon & pumper concept.  This was something that was popular here in the Mid-Atlantic, where the term Wagon is still used quite a bit, even though the two-piece engine companies were phased out years ago.
I've seen that when looking around on the web. It seems like the Wagon is just used so it flows witht he #'s on the rest of the fleet.  EXP:  E-11 W-11 R-11 T-11    instead of being  like 11-?

Just out of curiosity, because I've never heard of Federal Fire, how is this different than Navy Fire Department? I guess essentially what I'm asking is why isn't that a Navy rig if it's assigned to a Navy base?

Thanks,

"Federal Fire" is the Navy FD under the CNRSW (Commander Navy Region Southwest). They just aren't called Navy Fire. It protects all the Navy assets around San Diego, including North Island NAS, San Diego Naval Base, Amphibious Base, Point Loma and San Clemente Island, IIRC.

Arcadia RA 106. Due to numerous issues with the motor on the Ford Chassis both frontline Arcadia Rescue's and the reserve Rescue were remounted onto Chevy Cabs.

Former Covina FD Truck 91

After LACoFD took over Fire and EMS in Covina, this rig was assigned to Station 147 in Lynwood briefly as Quint 147.

Support 22

Former El Monte FD units prior to being decaled for LACoFD. Missing Engine 24 and Truck 21. The Truck was not accepted by the County and was sold.

One odd fact about the former EMFD is that Engines 21& 22 were stationed together at FS 21 and Truck 21 and Support 22 were stationed at FS 22.
