Sorry for delay responding...Our Fire Fighter/Paramedics think it is a bit awkward but like it overall once you get accustom to it. . . . . Since these were purchased and placed in service future Squad units have been assigned new Chevrolet Suburban.

How are they liking working out of the Suburbans?

Not sure about that. Possibly. I was looking at some of Duane Troxel's old photos to try and see but can't tell for sure. Ladder 55 was the only Mack L model that I saw of all the Ladder companies though.

Is this the one that was purchased from Alief(Community) V.F.D. ?

Good stuff Bob...sorry the trip didn't work out this year. But the offer stands any time you make it this way.

I do believe that the Ford C pumper at E65 was from Community. It was bought when Station #65 was essentially a boat house using a small temp building. The same building, I was told, was later used for the original Station #72.

And the '79 ALF Century 50' Tele-Squrts were awesome. E68 was refurbed in-house by the shift personnel and lasted until '94 because the crews wanted to keep it. Was a fire fighting son of a gun.
