Whitewood, Saskatchewan has this 1991 KME Renegade 1250/1000 (US) pumper s/n #GS0 1234 that was purchased used from the United States. Anyone know from which department? The Chief at Whitewood thought that it may have come from a department in Louisiana.

No, Halton Hills used this truck and a couple of others just like it for the Prevention Officers etc to roam around town and have a rig to response direct to calls. As I understand it the Dept has since changed their policies etc (don't know all the details etc) so they are selling off the fleet of CAFS units. They have two Brand NEW fire halls being built in Georgetown, ON, one HQ and one smaller station.

This truck was a 1972 Imperial/Pierreville 840 gpm (1000 US), no water and a 100 foot stick. This was the first ladder owned by Gloucester, and I chased this a LOT when I was a kid. When I got on the job, it was just being phased out of service, but I got to operate on it before it was gone. We called it "the Whisper", because it was loud, with the Q and the Detroit Diesel engine that just screamed. A lot of great memories of this truck, nicest truck ever in the Ottawa area.

When my mom was a kid her house along Hwy 7 near Mary St burned down.
