Steve- I just did a quick count and Chicago had 82 Ford C pumpers between 1967 & 1988 that ran as Engine Companies. They were built by Ward LaFrance, Pierce, Seagrave, and E\-One. They also had five Ford C/Pirsch rear-mount aerial ladder trucks. They also had a Ford C hose truck, and at least two Ford C gas trucks.

The old Gardenville Volunteer Fire Protection District in St. Louis County Missouri ran the the Ford C's. This picture show old Engine Co. 72 just after the Affton Fire Protection District took over the department in early 80's. I don't know what happened to the rigs after Affton took over the department. Affton did at one time have a Ford C as one of it's rigs as did the Crestwood Fire Department, before they went to the Seagraves, while I was with the department both of the Lemay Fire Protection District rigs were Ford C's during this time I think that the City of St. Louis was all

Lincoln Fire and Rescue, Lincoln, Nebraska ran Ford C's until last year. I have posted a couple of them in a different thread but here they are again.

First up is Reserve Engine 21, this picture was taken in Late August or Early September of 2006 shortly before it's retirement for good from the department.
