Engine 5 at the SEA-TAC Airport was this 1983 Chevy C-30 4x4 with E\-One bodywork. It has a 250 gpm-pump and carries 200 gallons of water and 30 gallons of AFFF.

Engine 1 at the SEA-TAC Airport was responsible for structural calls. It is a 1986 Spartan Monarch with Darley-bodywork. 2000 gpm-pump, 500 gallons water, 50 gallons AFFF.

An unusual truck in the Northwest is this 1979 Mack R with Hamerly bodywork from Neuwaukum/WA. It has a 1000 gpm-pump and a 1000 gallon-tank. Maybe second hand?

As there is almost no info available about the Freightliner Fireliner custom-chassis, I googled a bit.



Freightliner built only four of these custom-chassis, all in 1961. A pumper (shown in this topic before) and a Snorkel were built for Chehalis/WA, also a pumper and a Snorkel for Renton/WA. The bodybuilder of all 4 units was Westland Fire Apparatus, the successor of Roney Fire Apparatus from Portland/OR.Probably all 4 trucks are long gone.



Here is the 1961 Freightliner Fireliner with Westland bodywork and 85' Snorkel, that was built for Chehalis/WA.
