Found an old very scratchy pic from the Avalon Shores VFC in Shady Side, Anne Arundel Co. showing their Eng 411 - a 1953 Ward LaFrance 750/500 and part of their Eng 413 - a 1973 International/Howe 1000/500 before it got slimed.

Scott, I have this tanker as a 1986 Western Star with bodywork from 3-D Fire Apparatus, 750 gpm-pump, 3000 water/ 200 foam. Juergen [/quote] And now the pride and joy of the Union Fire Company of Bethel, Berks County, Pa.... what a MONSTER of a tanker this thing is!! There is a Western Star dealership about a 1/4 mile from Bethel's firehouse... so if the chassis should ever go bad or need a remount I wouldn't be surprised to see it on another Western Star.... than again it IS a 3D body so most likely the body will fall off long before the chassis/motor goes bad.
