Shaker Road - Loudonville Fire Dept. Town of Colonie NY. 1968 Aerochief 90'. If I remember correctly this truck was originally built for the Newburgh NY Fire Dept. but when it was delivered it wouldn't fit in the fire house. It was brought to SRLFD as a demo and never left. Sold to the Hoosick Falls NY Fire Dept. in 1989. Found out not to long ago that it was sold by Hoosick Falls to a private individual who sold it for scrap.

Your story is correct except that it was Kingston, NY, not Newburgh. Newburgh had an Aero Chief.

that is the photo #, not the job number. American La France did not put the serial numbers on their photos like Seagrave did with the plaque on the ground. Portsmouth Naval Hospital recieved a type 601CO pumper on 7/15/44 serial # L-2043

Thanks, It appears to be a 500 gpm pump. If it had a water tank, it probably would have been a 100 gallons type.

The cab appears to be an IH make.

Joe, same info I have on the rig, Shop Order is 2345. The number on the photo #2773-M should be the AmLaFr photo negitive number.

I have some more photos from Colorado Springs, Colorado that I thought should be put out for everyone to enjoy, instead of just sitting in a photo album. Didn't see much on the Colorado Springs thread with their history, so here are the rest of the American La France rigs that I have from Lt. Col. John Langley, whom I was trading photos with in the mid to late 80's.
