One of seven units of Medical Emergency Ambulance, Inc., in Buncombe County (Asheville), NC.  Three units are staffed 24/7, and the remaining four are spares, which facilitates the company's VA Hospital contract.  They provide local and long-distance transport, routine and emergency.  Originally named "Mobile Emergency Ambulance Transport", the "MEAT" acronym went away.  They provide compassionate, skilled, valuable service to the area, and suffered undeserved, spiteful, long-term interference while trying to establish their business.  Their willingness to supplement Buncombe EMS speaks very highly of their dedication, commitment, and willingness to look past personal and political slights.

Buncombe County (Asheville), NC "Station 2", formerly "Buncombe County Rescue Squad."  Originally a volley organization established in the 1950's, they morphed into the provider of three typically-daytime ambulances -  210, 220, & 230 - staffed by paid personnel supplementing, along with some fire departments, Buncombe EMS.  There was never a "Station 1."  Buncombe EMS' units are numbered 2 through 12.  11 is the shift supervisor.

Schaefer Sprinter. Most of the Private ambulance companies in SoCal have started using some sprinters.

I think you have a typo there.  To the best of my knowledge, Chevy doesn't make a G5000 model.  This is probably a G3500 since it looks to be the shorter wheelbase chassis.

Yup. I was actually racking my head that the G5000 didn't sound right.

One of the Chevy 3500 HD/Fraziers for St Lukes/Roosevelt Hospital in New York City, labeled for Mt Sinai/Roosevelt.  Seen above, at delivery and unmarked. Here is the finished product: (just noticed the same older unit in the background of both photos!)
