[background=rgb(255, 255, 255)]After 30 some years our original Mack L 85 Engine has returned home to the Far Hills-Bedminster Fire Department. The truck was originally purchased new in 1953. After serving for nearly 30 years, it was sold to the Sorrento, Maine fire department, where it was in service until 6 months ago. Not much changed on it - still had the original axes, ground ladders and other various equipment - still with our UH&L Co (Union Hook & Ladder) stampings.
As she was back in the 70's [/background]
As she was, this past week in Sorrento Maine....
And finally arriving home Saturday morning.

I was up near there this past summer and if had time had hoped to stop at their firehouse but as usual never got enough time for all the stops I'd like to do.

I think that was the first 'scope where I got a ride in the bucket 30 years ago. Any clue where it ended up? [/quote] Sold to Plumsteadville, Bucks County Pa, then sold to Third District FC, Bucks County Pa. Currently for sale.
Thanks for the update.
eliminate all that crap on it and it appears that the rig was not chopped up. it looks like all that stuff was just bolted on to the existing body.
