At the end of May, I was invited to take a trip to the US Air Force Museum in Ohio with my youngest son. I managed to catch a couple rigs while up there.

Recently, the City of Griffin, GA took delivery of two new apparatus. Griffin has the only fire department in Georgia, to my knowledge, that still operates two-piece engine companies. The Engine runs with a crew of four as the attack piece while the Pumper is a supply rig with only a driver. This setup is at Stations 1 and 2. Station 3 staffs a regular Engine Company and a heavy rescue, but may soon run a 75' quint.

We were just in that area, Millersberg, and so forth this morning! If I'd known you were there or that they had those blue rigs, I would have made a side trip! Great shots!

I havent been down to Griffin to see my family in a few years. Last time I was there, I think E1 was similar to what Atlanta runs. Quote:I havent been down to Griffin to see my family in a few years. Last time I was there, I think E1 was similar to what Atlanta runs. Well, it has a Spartan chassis..... That rig, a Spartan/Southern Coach rescue pumper, is now assigned as Pumper 2. Engines 2 and 3 are running twin E\-One Typhoons. The Spartan/American and Grumman Panther II pumpers are now in reserve and the pair of Ford C/Pirsch pumpers are being disposed of.
Back on August 6th, I met up with fellow 'Pixer Jon Umbdenstock near Charlotte, NC for a six day shooting spree accross the state. Over 200 apparatus fell victim to our cameras before it ended on the 11th. We hit several FD's that we've been to before, just shooting the new rigs, and we stopped at quite a few that we had not been to before. Here's what we found:

We also reshot this one, now in the new color scheme.
