Coldenham Rescue 208 2009 KME
I am guessing this was Coldenham's wetdown Saturday? Some of the people who were at the Port Jervis parade were travelling to the other end of Orange County for it afterwards.

Yes, Circleville's rescue is a KME. They were on standby for Coldenham for the first part of the wetdown.

Nobody from the parade came over afterward (except maybe a few other spectators besides me). Quite surprised Greenville didn't, seeing as they have a similar vehicle that's only a year or two old. Was hoping Butler might (knowing how much they like going to wetdowns) but no such luck there. I guess everybody opted to stay in Port and await the trophy presentations.

Not like Maybrook's a couple of years ago where Cronomer Valley stopped by on their way home and three guys in uniforms (minus the jacket and hat) sprayed the rig with indian tanks.

Here's a recent (yesterday) photo of Circleville's KME Predator. 2008 Rescue 105 j/n=6867.... Not to steal anyone's thunder, maybe this shows the rig clearer. To my knowledge, Circleville had a '97 F/liner / Kenco prior to the KME, no ALF rescue recently.

Being in the 5th division this year, Butler didn't get done marching until after 4. With the parade still ending at the PJFD Training Center by the high school but refreshments reverting back to the practice of returning to the host company location it took another half hour to the VFW on Owen Street where our host, Tri-States Hose 6, had their party which was about 300 feet from the Howard Wheat Engine 4 firehouse. No more just hot dogs, chips and pretzels at the end like it was since 1996, this time the companies could have as much as they wanted and ours consisted of burgers, dogs, sausage & peppers, baked beans and salads By the time we were done eating and socializing it was after 5:30 so the guys wanted to head the 37 miles home since they had left our firehouse at about 8:45 that morning with some having family things scheduled.

I think the comment about the ALF was a typo, as it's almost the identical wording of the Pine Bush post. Yes, the KME did replace a Freightliner/Kenco rescue.

I've had a couple of requests (from both a FirePixer and some locals) to see my pics of the Port Jervis parade. Soon as I get some free time to re-size them, I'll put them up. Might not happen 'til the weekend, though. Stay tuned!

Definately before Ward LaFrance and Maxims were being built side-by-side in Elmira Heights. You can tell because both Wards and Maxims had a odd shaped window between the cab door and the jumpseat window when they were owned by the same company. Still though, Consolidated's Ward is a classic!!!

I never thought I would be posting in this thread but here is a current rig Andrew and I found a few weeks ago. While making a photo trip, we saw two fire trucks pull into a truck stop off I-81 in TN while we were eating breakfast. So, being the opportunistic photographers, we convinced the drivers after filling up to pose the trucks quickly for us. Here's what we found on their delivery trip to NY:
