1 more Time
Who is that tan guy in the shorts and tee??...I guess that is what retirement looks like...
Retirement is a beautiful thing Tom.
Bill,
I live in Braidwood so it is not that far. Actually I went to Limestone first that day but they were training with the new engine so I was unable to shoot it.

I did not know you could still purchase a front mount pump. Is it a Darley?
It's a Hale HFM. I'll bet Alexis and Toyne each do one or two a year, not sure about the other guys. Did customer training on one and you have to love the simplicity, pull a lever to put it in pump. No electric, no air, just a lever behind the pump. I'm pretty sure Waterous dropped their front mount line of pumps. Don't know about Darley.
Really cool, thanks for the info I learned something new. I never would have guessed its a Hale. Bumper Pumpers are very simple. There are many in Kansas still in service. However we only have two left in Johnson County, KS at Rural FD#3 now called NW Consolidated Fire District, they are early 1990's Toyne/International. Very simple yet effective. Stay Safe, Rick
