Not sure which is which, but Rockford has had at least two of these Mack quints built by Pirsch. One I believe is still yellow ad never has been refurbed, and may still be a last resort reserve. It was sitting in station 6 for many years. The other was refurbed by RPI which also included a fully enclosed crew area. It is still an active reserve, was last assigned to Quint 5. In fact, it has been in service quite a bit as of late as two of Rockford's newer Pierce quints have frame issues and are out of service. Guess that happens when you run quints on every medical call in their still district.

I'll see if I can get a photo of it. I live a few blocks from where it is currently in service. Nothing like hearing it rumble by...
