Speaking of Rockwell, Nc. one of the stations We stopped at after we left the show was Rockwell Rural FD. Shot their newest Engine. But I was in love with this
1984 Kenworth cab/Salsbury rescue body. Former Bethesda-Chevy Chase, MD. This rig was at the Pentegon during 9-11. A real treat to shoot.

Always thought that this was a really neat rig. However, I was under the impression that on 9/11, this was a reserve that when placed back into service, remained at BCCRS headquarters, and it was their newest heavy rescue (and a bunch of ambulances) that went to the Pentagon? Corrections welcome....
Taylor Goodman Captain - Henrico County (VA) Division of Fire Fire Chief - Huguenot VFD, Powhatan, VA
stopped to ger breakfast before the show, what did I see from the Chick-fil-a drive thru but Salisbury Quint 1, Quint 3, and Rescue Engine 1. Here's the quints, The engine didnt come out good.
I was just going on what the guy at the station told me while I was shooting it.

I believe you are correct. When we bought this rig it had been in reserve status since they had the new rescue to replace it. I don't recall them telling us that this rig was at the pentagon.

Concord Air 1

Thanks for posting, I was not sure if this truck was still around or not. At one time, Concord had 2 of these; one that served as R1 and the other served as R5. When Rescue 7 came into service as a dedicated rescue company, they got rid of one of the FL60/ALF's. I believe it was sold to Florence,SC.

Here's a couple from the Spencer Antique Fire muster. I was dissappointed with the turn out. Only a few trucks there. Met up with fellow fire pix'r Micah Bodford. Shot a couple of other area rigs away from the show. I wont post them all, so he can. BUT,Here's my Favs....
Yeah, unfortunately the Spencer muster was a huge disappointment. A total of 12 trucks were there but the crowd was pretty good sized. Hopefully it will pick back up next year.
As for the old Conover truck, it is definitely something you don't see everyday. It's a 1976 Kenworth W900/Pierce 2000(downgraded to 1500gpm)/300/50'TS that started out serving St. Timothy's VFD. St. Timothy's dissolved to form City of Conover station 2 where it served until 2007 as 15-Ladder 2. It is now privately owned by a big rig truck collector.

THIS is the rig that I hoped to own one day when I saw it posted on here several years ago. My god, what I would give. Wonder if I can make an offer to the owner?

Haven't talked to some people recently but a while back I was told this rig was county rig up towards Manassas VA so I'm assuming Prince William. I'm gonna try to get the truck #'s tomarrow or Tuesday.
