Nope no new Engine. (I was hoping <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />
The Hamilton community in Loudoun County is receiving a variety of new Pierce fire trucks. I recently posted the new 2009 International/Pierce 1500/3000 tanker which is Tanker 605 for the Hamilton VFD. Also posted the new Rescue 617 for the Hamilton VRS, a 2010 Pierce Arrow XT.
Here is the new engine for Hamilton - Engine 605. It is a very sharp looking 2010 Pierce Velocity 1500/1000/40/40 with job number 23085. It will be running with Wagon 605, the 2006 Pierce Dash that Code 3 made the model of.
It replaces a 1989 Pierce Lance 1250/750 which will be sold.

Mike,
Did you take this photo? What's with the Roto-Ray?
Update on Fire Station 607 in Aldie, specifically the "new" Rescue 607.
Earlier this year, Rescue 603 from Middleburg was discontinued (from what I understand the volunteers no longer wanted a squad at the station)and the county made plans to place the rescue in service at another station along the Route 50 corridor. Ultimately, the decison was made to move the squad to Fire Station 607 in Aldie.
Here is a photo of the squad while in service in Middleburg as Rescue 603.
After doing some graphic changes to the Pierce and making arrangements to house the Rescue at Aldie, the county placed into service Rescue 607 on November 16,2010. It is cross staffed by the engine company and will primarily handle entrapments/accidents along the the Route 50 corridor. In the event that the career staff has the engine staffed and on a call, the volunteers at Aldie can staff the rescue if needed.
Rescue 607 is housed in the garage on the far left (the garage door is up). The four main bays house the tanker, engine, ambulance, and brush. On the far right is a bay for the utility.
These folks are hurting for some space, and the county is in the process of acquiring land in the Aldie area for a new station.
Lovettsville has on their site a new brush, and a new tanker. I saw that their Pierce Pumper/Tanker is for sale on Brindlee Mtn. I'm guessing they received the 2005 IHC/Pierce from Hamilton?? Mike, Any idea??

Patrick, you are correct. Since Hamilton just received a new tanker, the 2005 was sent to Station 12 at Lovettsville.

While I'm not usually a fan (at all) of the Velocity's I will say Hamilton did a hell of a job on this rig. She's a beaut! Outstanding color scheme, grill design AND Roto-Ray!!
Engine 698 is a reserve engine for the county. It is a 2010 Pierce Impel 1500/750 with job number 22948. Another county ordered Pierce Impel is a Engine 623 at Ashburn-Moorefield (previously posted).
Engine 698 is stored at the new LCFD warehouse on Red Rum Drive near the current Fire Station 23.
