IF YOU LOOK RIGHT ABOVE THE WORD MARYLAND YOU CAN READ THE WORD SAULSBURY. THEY HAD A 1976 GMC THAT WAS BUILT BY PROVIDENCE. [/quote] Community Rescue used the county Civil Defense REO rescue wagon from the mid-1950's until sometime in the 60's when the former Co. 28 (CD Rescue Co.) was formed and was reassigned the REO "Calamity Jane" CRS photo, Jenkins collection
CRS converted a mid-1960's International Travelall into a rescue vehicle, this really appears to be an overloaded ark. This c. 1970 photo shows what a radical upgrade the IH CO/Saulsbury was at that time.
