This rig had a rumored interesting history. From the story I heard it was purchased with state funds for a fire company in either Harford or Cecil Co., MD. (I want to say that it was Darlington's rig, but I'm not 100% positive.) As the story goes, there was a bridge that was going to be closed for repairs which was going to limit response from nearby companies to that area. For what ever reason, this rig was later swapped with another CF Mack that was in service at BWI Airport FD. The rig was put up for sale by the state and purchased by Lutherville as an intrim pumper to hold them over until they could spec out a new pumper to replace their 1963 open cab C model Mack. Since this rig had had a fairly new paint job, Lutherville opted to keep the rig red rather than paint it in their traditional white & black scheme.

Quote:LaVale, MD operated this Mack MC/Saulsbury Rescue Truck.

Built in 1983, it has since been refurbed by Seagrave (in South Carolina) and repainted black/red. It currently serves Locke Township, NC.

Can someone provide a list of the fire stations at Patuxent River NAS and what units are assigned to each. Also does anyone have a current Salisbury FD apparatus roster? Thanks

Was this originally a fire truck? I had always heard that Violetville bought the cab & chassis used and converted it to a fire truck.
