Another shot of ex-Squad 11's E\-One prior to being sold from the reserve fleet

Great rig

is this the one that Latrobe, Pa has now?

Yes sir. I believe you are correct. This rig spent many happy years running up and down" The Highway" here in Fairfax County! One of my favorite Fairfax Squads in their history.

As a side note...

When this rig was in the reserve fleet and operated as Rescue 21 they would have to run the old Hazmat 34 support rig (soda truck style) along with it as a 2-piece company to ensure they had all their equipment.

Former reserve Tower Ladder (running as TL40 here). It has since been sold.

X-Squad 11 is not the one that Latrobe owns. Latrobe owns the X-Lorton Squad.

Here is the x-RS19 1987 E-1 Hurricane that was sold to Latrobe in 2001.Supposedly it was damaged while being delivered to Latrobe, and required extensive repairs...

The x-RS11 (1990 E-1 Hurricane) had a taller rear body with roll-up doors. According to Mike Sanders' book, the 1st such-equipped rig in Fairfax.

Doc, you are correct. I believe there was extensive cab damage. It now serves in the City of Latrobe as Rescue 2 in Central Station downtown.
