I will add a few photos I took this time last year when I was in New York. Firstly heres one of engine 5 returning to their station. This was my local station, just down the road from where I was staying.

Speaking of Ten-Ten house. Here's Ladder 10 o/s St Peter's Church on Barclay St in lower Manhattan. They were there for the annual Blue Mass which is held for FD and PD members who were LODI or LODD in the year just past. Behind it is the WTC structural steel cross that was discovered a few days after 9-11 and was moved to a prominent location in Ground Zero. In preparation for rebuilding that area the cross was moved two blocks north to the side of St Peter's. It will stay there for two years during reconstruction. (It was supposed to go to JFK and be stored there - there was enough opposition that this alternate location was chosen.)
