Rescue 503 as she is today. Taken today at FS23. Interesting side note: This rig has historically been so poorly staffed that the county CAD doesn't even recognize it as an existing unit UNLESS it is staffed. Not sure why it was moved to 23 considering Rescue 510 (Dale City) is right up the road in the next closest Box area.
Virginia apparatus - miscellaneous

One of Dumfries-Triangle Volunteer Rescue Squad's newer ambulances. Taken today at FS23. This one running as Medic 523 - staffed 24/7 by career personnel from Prince William County Department of Fire and Rescue. BIG.
Nice shots! <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/yourock.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />
With that in mind my Rescue2 friend... OWL Rescue 2 in quarters, fully staffed, waitin' on a job
One more for rescue2... OWL Rescue 2, fully staffed in quarters earlier today. One of my all time favorite rigs in the great state of Virginia.

Thanks Tommy! That means a lot coming from you and the work you do! Nate
You flatter me. <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_redface.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> I'm a little bit harder on myself, but I do thank you for the kind words. Seriously though, you've got a good eye for shots. That last photo with the American flag above the rescue is superb.

Caught up with Fair Oaks new Velocity at the county garage today. Just arrived yesterday. I hope to get some better shots when the sun is more cooperative. Gorgeous rig!

Nate,
What shop is Fair Oaks at? It doesn't look like the North shop.

Nate, What shop is Fair Oaks at? It doesn't look like the North shop.
It's at the actual Fairfax County Shop off West Ox, where all county vehicles (not just fire and rescue) are serviced. It's a stones throw from the apparatus shop north building, the helicopter base and the academy. Just follow the yellow school buses! I'm hoping to get a shot of the new Tower 436 which is in the bay at F&R apparatus shop north. Nate
Farmville Fire Department
I had photographed the apparatus in Farmville about 2 years ago, but I didn't ensure that the engines and truck were posed correctly so while I was in Farmville this morning I decided to stop by and see about retaking the photos.
