While it is true that Givaudan does produce flavors, I believe this plant in Clifton produces fragrances including perfumes. One of our police sergeants had a brother who worked there, often giving him sample bottles of various perfumes that he would then give out to family members as Christmas presents.

Anyone know if the Clifton plant is still there, and if they still have the fire brigade? Did a Google search and it's not showing one still in operation.

I found it through the Google search engine showing as still at 174 Delawanna Avenue, Clifton NJ. The last time I was on NJ Route 3 in that area was a few months ago with the plant still visible.

Thanks, I should have been more specific, I Googled Givaudan and when I looked at the corporate website, it listed two facilities in NJ, neither were in Clifton.
Quote:Yes. These are the notes that were on the photo, unfortunately no Photographer name.
I'll have to check and compare when I get home, but I believe that the door logo is the same as on newer Eggertsville rigs I have shot. I also know they ran lime yellow back then.

Now serving the Shepton-Oneida Fire Department in Schuylkill County, Pa... I have a feeling it is going to be replaced in the near future though. Nice looking and sounding piece!!
