Virtual Fire Buffing in Chicago

here I sit...a holiday weekend by myself with nothing to do til work tomorrow....I thought we’d do some virtual fanning... These 2 shots are from a 2-11 at 550 Grand Ave on October 12, 1995....It looked like the end of the world but was roofing materials with little structural involvement...It’s a good thing I pulled over to get these shots because when I arrived 10 minutes later there was NOTHING left to see....

This next job, if I recall correctly was a 3-11 at 1111 Crosby...April 2, 1996.... We were getting training on the soon to open new 911 center and I couldn’t sneak away til our breaktime....better late than never...and I was quite late getting back to class too..[img]cid:ADCF50810F284DAFBA83AF6CE87B45F2@StevePC[/img] I think this was one of the first times I saw the new Seagrave Patriot aerials....notice the now gone project buildings in the background

This was a 3-11 alarm with an EMS Plan 2 at 7620 N Bosworth..July 21, 1995

Alex, that is actually called duel pumping from a single hydrant.



Tandem would have been if one pumnper was pumping fom the hydrant and the second or third take their discharge line and increasing the pressure and gpms. Something as in relay operations.





Btw, Steve, Great photos!! You don't see bridging being down in these days!!
