Here is Greenville, SC 's newest.    Engine 9.  2014 Pierce Arrow XT. 1500gpm pump, 750 gal water 30 gal foam. She replaces a 1999 Sutphen.  She also has a twin,  which will replace Engine 3 (not yet in service).  These are the 1 st Pierces for the department.

I tried to get one of these a few weeks ago, but they were not yet in service.  In fact, the guys at E-3 didn't even know they were getting one, even though a photo was already on the dealer's site showing them lettered for 3 & 9.

They must not talk to the other shifts I guess, because a couple were on the committee.

Anywho,

4 TH OF JULY was a great weekend for firetrucking for me. a lot of different rigs out on display..

Went to a festival in Holly Springs, SC in Northern Spartanburg County. I was Reunited with an old rig from Greenville. I wondered where she went after it was sold at auction. I knew at one point it was in a barn at Scuffletown USA in Simpsonville. After that who knew. Apparently they still use this truck at Holly Springs.

1942 Seagrave 65'ft ladder.  Here she is back in the day at Greenville as Ladder 3.
