Garden State Oldies
Does anyone have pictures of apparatus from Plainfield, NJ? I'm looking for a 1968 Mack CF that they may have bought used in 1978 from a fire company in Maryland. Thanks!

Somerset Vol. Fire Co. (Franklin Twp / Somerset County) Special Services 56 1991 Western Star / Marion (Wildwood display) Sorry for the glare....sun off the ocean

NO longer with Somerset. This was replaced in 2000 with a Seagrave Marion - RESCUE 56. I beleive the rig was reasigned within Somerset Fire District 1 to Millstone Valley. Forget if it was Squad 28 or Air 28. It has since been sold off.

I don't think District One sold it, I saw it at a job in Franklin two weeks ago. I think they call it Squad 28.

1973 GMC/Swab with 50 foot boom. Was purchased new. Replaced in 2001-03 range with a rig that was from a utility company out of Virginia if memory serves. My late grandfather was a founding member and the first chief of the organization.

Replacement rig from Kentucky. Do they still exist? When I went there to photograph the "new" boom unit about a year ago, they had recently lost funding from the town and things were not looking good for them to be able to stay in operation.

Hummm went to check their website... They show a Pierce Pumper Tanker as Squad 28... I could swear it was sold off 2 or 3 years ago... Have to do some asking around...

I remember it was AIR 28 for a few years...You can see the A-28 on the bumper. There is one Q2B that is fake - just to give BALANCE.... I thought it was sold off. Gald to see its still in service Thank Mike
