This was this rigs SECOND life...it was built by Peirreville Fire Trucks with a one off r/m ladder platform that didn't work out.

I have been told this rig was sent overseas to have this Bronto unit installed and shipped back to Mississauga. Long gone now...



Before I really got into buffing so it is what I was told...

The Mercerville FC of Hamilton Township, NJ once ran this 1984 Hahn/E-1 85' Snorkel. The Monmouth Junction FC of South Brunswick Towsnhip, NJ used to have this 1975 Oshkosh/Pierce 75' Snorkel equipped with a 1250 gpm pump and a 300 gallon water tank. Last for today is this 1980 American LaFrance 85' Snorkel equipped with a 1500 gpm pump. This shot was taken by the late John Sytsma probably at the Cleveland, OH Fire Trainig Center. I had to look twice at this one. Albany, N.Y. had a snorkel of this vintage that also had A.F.D. on the door and a similar Cincinnatti cab. It was a Young, rather than a Pirsch, but it was certainly close.

Sold to Cheriton Va some 5-6 yrs ago, Cheriton removed it from service this summer disposition unknown.
