This is the front-line pumper at Station 6 located at the Central Illinois Regional Airport. This rig will move to reserve status next year upon delivery of a 2012 Pierce Dash CF PUC (1500/750). The current Engine 8 will likely be sold.

Normal has recently taken delivery of a similar 2011 Pierce Saber that will be assigned to Engine 17 @ Station 3. The current 1999 Pierce Saber assigned to Engine 11 will become a reserve engine and the 1978 Seagrave Snorkel assigned to Snorkel 10 will be disposed of.

Thanks for posting the Bloomington-Normal pics - my wife and I attended Illinois Wesleyan University - and lived there for 4 years beyond that. Once had the opportunity to ride up in the Seagrave Snorkel.
