I really like the look of the vertically folding doors.

Agreed on the vertical doors. I like the design and materials used on the building as well.

Eastside Fire and Rescue Engine 72 will be moving into their new quarters early this week along with an aid car and two brush trucks. It's located on the north end of Issaquah's multi level park and ride at State Route 900. [/quote] I also like the looks of the bi-folding apparatus doors. Is the storage tank out front part of the new "green" environment building concept? looks like it's obviously connected to the building, perhaps for some type of water recovery system...just curious
Remember, it's their Emergency, not yours ! Arrive Alive !
EF&R Station 72 is apparently designed to be certified as LEED Platinum. So yeah, the cistern is part of that. You can find more info here:

Thanks for posting the Pacific NW pics...the station also looks like a neat place. Any inside pics of it (for the Fire Stations Section of the boards, of course <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/fireman.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> )

Just for clarification Renton Engine 11 is a Cyclone chassis not a Typhoon. Not picking, just pointing out.

Then in 2008 they switched to the Quest chassis for their latest engine. I'm pretty sure all 10 are still around, so every engine in the city has a spare.

Issaquah, Wa. (now part of Eastside Fire Rescue) once ran this 1988 FMC Spartan with 1750 GPM pump and 750 gallon water tank as E-71.
