The Port Authority of New York & New Jersey ran this interesting piece of apparatus. I have no info. Can anyone provide them? Mattson Collection <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/usa.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Usa' />

Such a rare chassis.. the White-Freightliner Fireliner was only used on a handful of trucks before it was discontinued. White built the chassis specifically for the fire service market but it was not a popular seller so it was scrapped. Chehalis, WA had 2 pumpers and this snorkel mounted on that chassis. I have seen both pumpers but never the snorkel, thanks for sharing!!

One of seven Walter/Garsite rapid intervention vehicles acquired by the Port of New York Authority during 1976 and 1977. They had 125 gallons of AFFF and 900 pounds of dry chemical and the word "rapid" certainly meant that! They were quick!

The NIA on the door would designate it as being in service at Newark International Airport.
