This & That from Here & There
In Chautauqua County, NY, the designation "M" is given to any apparatus that doesn't fit into the other catagories: Engine, Truck, Tanker, Rescue (Ambulance or Heavy).

A couple of those trucks at the top are really "Bland" but, believe it or not, I really like those Ripley rigs. Neat stuff in spite of the weather.

On the morning of the 17th (Saturday), I got up early and headed back to Erie County, PA. I had been told that Kearsarge was having an open house at 1 PM with several area apparatus attending. I also wanted to try some of the FD's I had missed out on the day before. My first stop was Mill Village, but I was again unsuccessful. Next was Edinboro. I caught a guy who was just leaving the station, but told me that other guys would be there in an hour or so. He also told me about a parade about to start in Albion, about 12 miles west.

I'm not sure what the parade was for, but those six rigs were all that were there. I returned to Edinboro and the other guys were there.

My next stop was Fairview. No one was there, but the Rescue's bay was empty. I waited around a bit and a guy showed up. The Rescue was at their other station doing training. He pulled out two rigs for me.

The training was an extrication class for a couple new guys. I caught them just before they were about to pull the tools off the Rescue.

I arrived at the open house about 30 minutes early. Only a few apparatus showed up. The space is very limited, so posed shots didn't happen.

Since the open house didn't provide much to shoot, I didn't hang around long. Next stop was Wesleyville.
