While in town for the Region 6 IFBA meeting hosted by the Twin Cities Extra Alarm Association, I caught this house fire in Plymouth, MN.
The fire was caused by a lightning strike. Companies arrived to find fire showing from the attic. An interior attack was initiated, but crews were withdrawn to allow the use of ladder pipe. After the build of the fire was knocked down from the exterior, crews re-entered the structure to finish extinguishment with hand lines.
Several departments assisted Plymouth including Brooklyn Center, Robbinsdale, Rogers, Golden Valley and Maple Grove.
I arrived late, but did get some nice candids and rig shots.
I was nice to get back to the Twin Cities for a long weekend. The EAA did a fantastic job hosting the IFBA regional meeting which included a tour of the Rosenbauer (General) plant in Wyoming. Sorry, but no pictures to share from that portion of the trip...
