Old FDNY rigs with new homes
[quote name='iaff5045' timestamp='1318440567' post='460190']

I don't know who put the pump on it. But i do know after they had it a while, the frame sagged and it had to be sent out to re-enforce it. The pump was installed when purchased new.

Mack probably installed it before the cab and chassis went to Baker. All Baker did was to install the boom and related equipment. I've been by Baker many of times and seen chassis' sitting out awaiting the boom and jacks, etc. to be installed.

Thanks.

I was told by a former member of the Lebanon, Ky FD that they had a former FDNY Seagrave ladder. They bought it sometime in the late '80s. I called and asked someone, they said they did but recently sold it to a local private owner. The chief had refurbished it. Anyone know anything about this rig? I'll try to track it down before the weather turns if no one knows anything about it.

The boom was in the air when I took a pic of it about a month ago. It is in really bad shape though.

Wonder if Heidlersburg wants into the truck Business? That would look pretty sweet in that dark green paint of theirs.

The tower is owned by one of the guys from PA Fire Apparatus. When he purchased it his intentions were to refurb it and resell it. Obviously that never happened. It was behind Heidlersburg's firehouse because he is a member, and they needed lights changed on their carnival grounds.

hopefully the truck will not find a scrapyard, and someone redoes it.
