I agree - the single axle Scopes and remounts look awesome. Big fan of this Darien rig: I know some are not fans of the all-black wheels, but I like them - especially on this beast.

Funny enough, what drives me crazy about the Darien rig, and all of these remounts is the rear wheels are so much bigger than the front wheels, honestly it's just throws the whole thing off for me.

Mt Vernon has a original Seagrave not a rebuilt one , maybe you are thinking  of Pelham Manor next town over that has the first rebuild of a Scope on a new Seagrave

Here is a shot of it when it was relatively new.  It was one of a set of twins originally assigned to Engines 7 and 8.  The wreck happened not long after it was reassigned to Engine 10.  Last I knew, the twin was assigned to Engine 10......
