Seems like they'd want to standardize in some way.

Seems like they'd want to standardize in some way. Today I spoke with the Battalion Chief who was recently put in charge of apparatus... He said his predecessor really liked the Saber's but the crews, especially officers, complained about the tight space in the cab. The Impel was the first Engine purchased on his watch and it sounds like either the Impel or Velocity will be the new standard. A 2015 Pierce engine will replace Engine 63's Saber which will become the primary reserve. |
