Any idea of the role of this ESU car?

Either for a supervisor, or just regular patrol. Specialized units do get assigned regular RMPs for their use.
For the NYPD buffs, anyone know what the ESU Construction Accident Response Vehicle (CARV) carries? I gander its used for structural collapses?
People complaining about spam in the spam mail box... Huh, what'll they think of next?
Do anyone have a picture of the CARV?

Do anyone have a picture of the CARV?
I might at home, nothing special, last one I saw was a basic box truck with equipment akin to FDNY's collapse unit, although smaller in size.
Not my photo but the example of an older CARV. Actually taken in February 1993 at the first WTC attack. I seen newer ones where the the box was slighly smaller.

Where did you find all the ESU vehicles staged?

Where did you find all the ESU vehicles staged?
In the Mounted Unit photo, the street sign says "Park Pl", so that is in lower Manhttan near the World Trade Center, by the Woolworth Building. |
