Just for fun, here is a group of photographers and their escort at BWI Airport back in 1992, standing in front of Crash 434, a 1989 Oshkosh T-3000. I'm sure hungrybus could id himself and everyone else...[/quote]

DR. Stinebach, in the photo are from left to right.

John Floyd, Dave Bowen, My son, Bill Joiner "BWI FD", Ray Doyle, and myself.

1ST aerial ladder truck for Bel Air VFD in Harford County was this 1951 Maxim 85' aerial which was purchased around 1970 from an unknown PA dept. (Hello, Howie!?). It served Bel Air until 1976, and was then sold to Quarryville,PA., where it ran until 1992.

Photo from collection of John Floyd, original photographer unknown

Dr. Stinebaugh,

Ask and you shall receive. Some of the following info was supplied by Al Powell:

1952 Maxim, semi-cab, 85 ft steel mid-mount ladder. It was purchased used in 1976 by the Quarryville Fire company (Lancaster County) for $25,000 from the Bel Air Fire Company of Maryland. Bel Air had purchased it used in 1971 from the Independent #2 Fire Company of Jenkintown (Montgomery County). Bel Air had installed a diesel engine while it was in their possession. Quarryville sold it in 1993 to a Amish barn painter from Gettysburg.

It looks like Mr. Wegloski has gone on hiatus again, so I'll keep carrying on...

This 1947 Diamond T/Oren 500/500 from Corriganville VFC,Allegany Co.,MD., is a favorite of mine, as it was used for fire engine rides during their carnivals years ago, and I got to ride in it several times as a child.

In the 70's it was owned by buff Chuck Satterfield, and in 1976 made a muster in Baltimore,MD., where it was shot by John Floyd. (Jenkins collection)

The next 4 images are of a house burn that went somewhat awry back in 1984 in Laurel,MD. The house became fully involved a bit faster than planned, resulting in evacuated personnel, relocated apparatus, and deployment of master streams to protect exposures.

Apparatus visible in the shots are Laurel VFD E-103, 65 IH/ALF, LVFD E101 or 102- a 1970 Duplex/Oren, a PGFD reserve aerial- 1961 Seagrave 85', originally Cottage City/Colmar Manor,MD. Trk2., and a 1981 Mack MC engine from Maryland City,Anne Arundel Co.

All photos by John Floyd,Jenkins collection

The Susquehanna Hose Co. of Havre De Grace, Harford Co.,MD. once ran this 1953 FWD engine that was restored by a private owner in the 1990's.

Anybody know specs, owner's name, and current status of this classic?

Warren, the Susquehanna Pumper is a 1957 with I belive 500/300 pump & tank. the photo you posted was taken when myself and Mr. Wiggens use to Parade it. It now sets in a driveway off of Marley Station Road in Anne Arundel County. owned by a County Police Officer, I don't think that he has done anything with it since his purchase. I have recently scanned some of my older Maryland Appartus, and if you don't mind I would love to contribute to this great thread.

Here's Elkridge's VFD in Howard County Engine 11 a 1980 Seagrave PB with 1000/500 P&T
