Whats with the 2 A/C units and the ambers on top of them?

Looking at the picture from the front, I would say that the amber lights are on the ladder and not on the AC units. As for the two AC units, I believe that the one on the right side of the cab is used to keep the cab cool when it is in the station (runs off the 120v electrical shoreline) while the other runs off the vehicle electrical system.
just an FYI, as my guess is you just post the information given to you, unless the depth on the compartments is different than the ALF quint I use to drive, there is no way that tank is 500 gallons, 400 maybe.
