Good find! I'd never heard of that company either. The building in the pic is located at 2018 S 4th St, Allentown, PA. About 1.25 miles South (and a little West) of the Allentown Fearless Station that's located at 158 W Susquehanna St.

I used to work in Allentown and I too have seen this building and wondered about it since I’d never heard of that fire company.   A co-worker explained that Mountainville was once an independent town with its own fire company but this area is now part of the City of Allentown and fire protection is provided by Allentown Fire Department.  He said the “fire company” continues to exist as a social organization but does not have fire apparatus; not sure how that works.

Nice! Thanks for the background, much appreciated.

Question for you PA guys, are any of the original Allentown fire stations for the late 1800's/early 1900's still standing?

Station 46 Greenpoint Fire Company out of Union Twp, Lebanon County, PA

Currently they have a vacant lot across the street and are working on a $500,000 budget to build a new fire station.
