From the layout of the ALF, it looks like old Satellite-4

What does SOC typically use this for? What's the 'stuff' on top of the compressor, looks like a folded up tent or something ?

They use it for Collapse, Trench, Rescue Operations...... On top usually is carried (semi-ridgid)hoses and hard sections to hook up to the ConEd Vac truck.

This was Satellite 2 when delivered in 1982. It was then re-assigned to Sat 4. I think it served as the JFK Hose Wagon... Mike could tell us. I dont have my notes with me.

Any word on the replacement of the foam units? Is there a high ex unit anymore?

Funny, that FDNY went with the SLR Vision lightbars for the Haz Mat, no other (big) truck has them in the fleet, correct?
