Well our largest Urban Brigade (~5th largest in the world) being Fire & Rescue NSW, formerly NSW Fire Brigade having only rear mount and the NSW Rural Fire Service (Largest Fire service in the world) has also 99% rear mounts.

Hi there, lets head 1000 miles to the north east to the state of Queensland. Here is a rural appliance from the Mudgeeraba Rural Fire Brigade part of the Queensland Fire & Rescue Service

Here is a "light attack" appliance from the Queensland Fire & Rescue Service (QFRS). This one is used by senior officers that aren't assigned to a standard appliance.



The main use is for initial attack of a grass fire. The frame over is used to hold a rubber dingy used during the wet season for swift water rescues.
